Akron Public Schools Superintendent David James delivered his annual State of the Schools speech before an audience of 450 at The Tangier.
The GAR Foundation announced that it is giving $1.2 million to Akron Public Schools to tie grade-specific field trips with classroom curriculum, with all elementary school children — an estimated 8,800 — eventually participating annually.
