Democratic U.S. Senate candidate P.G. Sittenfeld will speak at the Akron Press Club on Friday, December 4. Lunch will be at 11:45 a. m., and the program will follow. There will be the opportunity for questions.
This event is co-sponsored with the University of Akron’s Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics and No Labels of Akron.
Sittenfeld was elected to the Cincinnati City Council in 2011 and re-elected to a second term in 2013. He chairs the Education and Entrepreneurship Committee and serves on the Budget and Finance Committee and the Major Transportation & Regional Cooperation Committee.
Sittenfeld was born and raised in Cincinnati, where he attended Seven Hills School. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and American studies from Princeton University and earned a Marshall Scholarship for graduate school at Oxford University. After internships with Google and Time, he returned to Cincinnati.

· $20 for Press Club members, $25 for non-members.
· $25 for all reservations made after Monday, November 30 (members and non-members).

The Akron Press Club was founded in 1971 to promote a free press and serve local journalists and public relations professionals. The group has a rich heritage of offering newsmakers a forum to discuss issues of the day at Press Club luncheons and speaking events that are open to the public. The club also funds scholarships for journalists and public relations students and sponsors annual fundraising and community outreach events.
