The Akron Press Club will present a special panel discussion “Impeaching a President: Understanding the Current Moment” November 20 at Quaker Station on the campus of the University of Akron. There will be the opportunity for questions from the audience.
This Press Club event is co-sponsored with The University of Akron Center for Constitutional Law and the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics.
The panel will be moderated by Tracy A. Thomas, Seiberling Chair of Constitutional Law and Director of the UA Center for Constitutional Law.
The panelists are:
● Martin H. Belsky, UA law professor and former law school dean. He also has served as counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives.
● David B. Cohen, UA political science professor and assistant director of the Bliss Institute. His research specialization is the American presidency and he is a frequent media contributor and guest speaker on national and Ohio politics.
● Brant T. Lee, UA law professor and assistant dean of diversity and social justice initiatives. He also has served as counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and in the White House as special assistant to the president.
