The Akron Press Club is holding a silent auction for a Goodyear Wingfoot One Blimp ride for two passengers, to be used between summer 2016 and September 2017.
Proceeds from the auction will support scholarships awarded to college communication students by the Press Club.
The ride is valued at $1,000 and will last approximately 30 minutes. Bids must be made in person at the registration table at any Akron Press Club event.
The certificate is non-transferable. The auction will close March 31, 2016 and the winner will be announced thereafter. For questions or additional information about the blimp ride or the auction, contact the Akron Press Club at 330-552-8860.

The Akron Press Club was founded in 1971 to promote a free press and serve local journalists and public relations professionals. The group has a rich heritage of offering newsmakers a forum to discuss issues of the day at Press Club luncheons and speaking events that are open to the public. The club also funds scholarships for journalists and public relations students and sponsors annual fundraising and community outreach events.
