Join the Akron Press Club on Tuesday, June 14 for a special event that will start with a behind-the-scenes tour of Canal Park, include a presentation by RubberDucks owner Ken Babby and end with a game between the Akron RubberDucks and the Erie SeaWolves.
The evening begins with a tour of Canal Park. Those wanting to take the 30-minute tour should report to the Game Grill + Bar by 5:30 p.m.
The Duck Club (located above the Game Bar + Grill) will open at 5:30 p.m. A buffet of
hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, barbeque pulled chicken, macaroni & cheese, potato salad, potato chips, cookies and soda is included with the ticket price.
RubberDucks owner Ken Babby will speak at 6:15 p.m. about the upcoming 2016 Eastern League All-Star Game happening July 13 at the RubberDucks Stadium. This will be the first time the franchise has hosted the All-Star Game since it relocated to Northeast Ohio in 1989.
As is the tradition of the Press Club, there will be the opportunity for questions following Babby's talk.
The game between the Akron RubberDucks and Erie SeaWolves begins at 7:05 p.m. Attendees of the event can view the game from the upper deck of The Duck Club or from stadium seating.
